We had an incredible experience at the FENCETECH 2025 Trade Show in Salt Lake City! The event provided us with an
excellent opportunity to connect with both familiar faces and new professionals in the gate hardware industry. It was
inspiring to see how the industry in the US is evolving and to exchange ideas on the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of gate hardware in the U.S.

Our conversations with industry leaders reinforced our commitment to providing high-quality, durable, and easy-to-install hinges that meet the ever-changing needs of contractors, installers, and DIY enthusiasts. We gained valuable insights into the shifting climate of the U.S. gate hardware market, helping us continue to refine and improve our products to serve our customers better.

The Australian FENCING Awards have again highlighted excellence within the industry, with several champions, legends, innovators and projects recognized as finalists, showcasing the high standards and craftsmanship prevalent in Australia’s gate industry.

A reminder about the critical changes in the AS 1926.1 Standard for hinges and gate latches.

NATA Testing Increase: Testing for pool gate hinges has been increased to 25,000 cycles up from the previous 10,000
cycles. This is a huge leap forward to ensure a lift in the quality of hinge products in the market that customers can accept. There have been many cheap imitation products circulating that fall short to meet standards. Increasing the standard will help highlight to consumers the need to purchase higher quality products even if the initial cost is more. As the old saying goes “You get what you pay for”. High quality hinges perform better and last longer. And if you choose Polaris Hinges you’re warranty will exceed most hinge products on the market. Polaris have conducted our own in-house testing for many years exceeding 1.5millions cycles.

Product Identification: For years Polaris has ensured our products are engraved, etched or molded with our logo. This
decision was made early on in an attempt to ensure our products could not be mistaken for cheap counterparts. The AS 1926.1 now insists each hardware component, including hinges and latches, must now have a permanent identification of the supplier. In the case of Polaris Hinges and Latches, If you do not see a permanent Polaris logo then, you may be
dealing with a non compliant copy product.  Product identification is another great step forward to increasing safety.
